This feature allows Doctors to avoid typing the entire Generic \/ Composition when a trade name is entered.<\/p><p> Generic Name can be added at the time of adding a new medicine or to an existing medicine that you already have in the app. Below article explains both the options plus reasons why the Generic Name may not be found for certain medicines you enter.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Adding Generic Name to an existing Trade Name<\/h3><p>Use this option when the medicine is already entered earlier in MyOPD ZIP and the Generic Name (Composition) is missing.<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tap Menu (Top 3 Horizontal lines on left) -&gt; My Medicines<\/li>\n\n<li>Search for your Medicine Name<\/li>\n\n<li>Long Press on the Medicine Name and select &#8220;Update Medicine&#8221; option<\/li>\n\n<li>Tap on &#8220;Search Generic Medicine Name (Composition)&#8221; option.<\/li>\n\n<li>App will look for Composition of the entered Trade Name. <\/li>\n\n<li>A list of matching options will be shown. <\/li>\n\n<li>Select the one that is applicable. <\/li><\/ol><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Why is My Medicine&#8217;s Composition not found?<\/h3><p>There are cases when the Generic composition of the trade name you enter is not found. While MyOPD has a drug list of around 300,000 medicines, it can still happen. <\/p><p><strong>Below are common reasons why the composition is not found:<\/strong><\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over the counter (OTC) medicines are not a part of our medicine database.
