However, very little is read about Diabetes in kids. With advent of fast food, the situation is even more dangerous.\u00a0MyOPD team had a quick conversation with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myopd.in\/doctors\/Dr.Asmit.Vaidya.2690137\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Asmit Vaidya<\/a>\u00a0to get his perspective on the topic.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0How early in life can one get Diabetic?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Vaidya:\u00a0As early as 5 yrs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0If it is hereditary, what should be done to avoid the passage to the progeny?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Vaidya:\u00a0It is hereditary. Nothing can be done.\u00a0One is more likely to get Diabetes at a early age if 1st degree relatives have Diabetes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0Would excessive consumption of chocolates by kids (&lt; 10 yr olds) result in Diabetes?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Vaidya:\u00a0No relation of chocolate consumption.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0Would consumption of fast food, burgers result in Diabetes?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Vaidya:\u00a0Fast food causes obesity &#8230;that can lead to Diabetes at a later age.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0We all know that a physical activity is good. However, how much is really enough for these kids considering they have a high sugar intake.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Vaidya:\u00a0Children should play physically exhausting games for 1 hr.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team MyOPD:\u00a0What are the typical symptoms that a child would demonstrate when Diabetic?
