OPD Improvements: #
  1. Prescription Improvements
    1. Descriptive Plus Setting: With this release, we have introduced a new setting while printing the Prescription – Descriptive Plus. With this setting, Doctors can now print the Rx in 3 different ways based on their choice. You can choose this setting under the Settings -> Printer Preferences -> Prescription Style option
      • 1 – 0 – 1 Setting: When this setting is used, the medicine dosage instructions are printed in traditional 1- 0 – 1 format. This way, the patient has to interpret the Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night dose based on the 1 or number written in that section.
      • Description Setting: With this setting, the Medicine dose gets printed as 1 Morning, 1 Night and so on. So this is more easier for the patient to understand. This setting also supports local language so that the Morning, Evening and other words get printed in selected language.
      • Description Plus Setting (New): This setting is a combination of both the settings above. When this option is selected, the prescription is printed in 1 – 0 – 1 style along with 1 Morning, 1 Night in selected language. This prescription is useful so that the Doctor as well as the Pharmacy store people understand the 1 – 0 – 1 style of dose when the patient’s selected language is not known to the Pharmacist or the Doctor.
    2. Registration Number at end of Rx: With this release, Doctors have a choice on whether to include / exclude registration number at the end of the Rx. You can choose this setting under the Settings -> Printer Preferences -> Registration no at end option. If this option is selected, Registration number will be printed along with the Degree at the end of the Rx.
    3. Configure printing of Patient Mobile Number on Rx:
      • In Release 8.3, MyOPD started printing the mobile number of patients on Rx. This was done so that the patients know which mobile number was given to the Doctor. They can then use that mobile number to register via the MyOPD For Patients app.
      • Many Doctors however wanted to have a choice to decide whether the mobile number should be printed on Rx or not.
      • With this release, we have introduced a setting Settings -> Printer Preferences -> Full Mobile Number.
        • When this setting is checked, the full mobile number of patient is printed on the Rx.
        • When this setting is not checked, part mobile number is printed on Rx only if the patient app for Doctor is enabled.
        • If patient app for Doctor is not enabled, patient mobile number is not printed at all.
  2. Add Single Duration for all medicines
    • With this release, you can now enter single duration for multiple medicines in the list.
    • A new entry box Allow Single Duration is introduced on the prescription entry form.
    • The Duration entered in this section will apply to all the medicines on the prescription entry form.
    • Any existing duration entered for any one medicine will be overwritten as well.
    • This was a common requirement from many Doctors.
  3. Dynamic QR Code for Payments at Reception
    • Some Doctors did not want to print the QR code on Rx, however, still wanted to collect payments at Reception by showing the QR code. This feature addresses that requirement.
    • To turn this feature on first, set the UPI QR code under Settings -> Printer Preferences -> UPI QR Code option
    • Once this setting is set, the behavior will be as follows
      • If this Checkbox is set, the UPI QR code will be printed on prescription as well as shown at Reception
      • If this Checkbox is not set, the UPI QR code will be shown at Reception but will not be printed on Rx
      • If this Checkbox is not set and the UPI QR code is empty, then the UPI QR code will not be seen at Reception as well as on the Rx
      • Check the live demo of this feature on YouTube at https://youtu.be/_D1l4ho-9bo
  4. List of Generated Receipt Numbers
    • While showing Income Reports in Advanced Search / Report -> Accounting and Prescriptions tab, Receipt numbers were not included.
    • With this release, Receipt Number and Receipt Date will be included in the Income Report
  5. Fast loading of Patient List at Reception
    • This performance improvement significantly reduces the load time of patient list at Reception.
    • As your list of patient grows, this change will reduce the memory requirement and result in faster load time of list of patients at Reception.
  6. Show Side by Side images for Before After Image Comparison
    • Doctors can now compare Images / X-Rays side by side in the Document picture viewer.
    • In the Documents section of OPD, click on the Rectangle Picture viewer. You will see the currently selected image.
    • Now, click on Before / After button on this form.
    • It will open a new form to allow image comparison. Select the images to be compared and you can view them side by side.
  7. Improvements to Quick Add section in Prescription
    • Quick Add Section in Prescription now has an option to filter the medicine list to view only Injections and Vaccinations
    • This allows Doctors to show the list of Medicines of type Injections and the medicines with names containing Vaccine.
    • Please note, for Vaccines, medicines entered in the immunization tab won’t be shown here. This section is just to show medicines entered in the Prescription tab.
  8. Configurable appointment slots at Reception:
    • Before this release, MyOPD allowed appointment slots at Reception only for 10 minutes each.
    • As a result, only 6 appointments could be taken in 1 hours.
    • With this release, Doctors can choose to set the appointment time as either 10 minutes each of 5 minutes each.
    • Based on this setting, the Reception staff will be able to give appointments of either 10 minutes each or 5 minutes each.
    • This setting can be configured by clicking Settings -> Application Settings -> Reception Appointment Booking Slot. Choose the time as per your choice.
    • This option is set to 10 minutes by default.
  9. Print Patient App QR code printing on PDF: Before this release, patient app QR code was not included in the PDF even when the option to print it was turned ON.
  10. Bug Fixes
    • Bugs related to general working of MyOPD Software are fixed.

    • With this version, the admission date and time can be corrected after the patient is admitted.
  2. Additional 3 Bed Categories
    • MyOPD Beds had only 3 Bed Categories and an ICU option.
    • With the new 8.4 release, MyOPD Beds now has 6 Bed Categories and an ICU option.
    • This gives you ability to create more bed types like AC Private, Non AC Private etc
    • Please consult our team for configuration before making these changes.

    • Instead, old age at the time of registration of patient was getting printed.
    • This is now fixed.

    • This search currently is under an individual category and not across the entire list of categories.

  8. Add Investigation and Advice Templates for Multi-Doctor OPD Section

    • With this release, the templates for Investigation and Advice created on server PC can be reused in the OPD section of Client PC.
    • This will save immense time while entering Investigations and Advice from the 2nd Doctor terminal.
    • Creation of these templates is currently controlled by the Server only. In future, we expect this functionality too to be introduced at client.
