Over time, your list of Complaints, Clinical Findings and Advice can pick up entries that were typed by mistake, misspelled, or are simply not needed anymore. These unwanted entries keep showing up in search and suggestions, which slows down prescription entry.
MyOPD ZIP lets you mark such items as “Not in Use”. Once marked, the item is hidden from search and suggestions, but it is not deleted. You can turn it back on at any time if you need it again.
Steps to Mark an Item as Not in Use
- Go to the screen where Complaints, Clinical Findings or Advice are added during a visit.
- Tap the edit (pencil) icon at the top right corner of this list.
Tapping this icon opens the Review Items screen for that section.
- On the Review Items screen, you will see three tabs at the top: Complaints, Clinical Findings and Advice. Choose the tab you want to manage.
- Each item has a toggle switch on the right.
- To mark an item as not in use, simply turn its toggle OFF. For example, if you have an entry like “Edema On Foot” added by mistake instead of “Edema On Feet”, turn off the incorrect one.
- The item will now stop appearing in search results and suggestions when adding Complaints, Clinical Findings or Advice for a patient.
Bringing an Item Back
If you ever need an item you marked as not in use, go back to the same Review Items screen and turn the toggle back ON. The item will immediately start appearing in search and suggestions again.
Why Use This Feature?
- To hide entries with spelling mistakes, such as duplicate items typed slightly differently.
- To remove one time or patient specific entries that you do not want suggested for other patients.
- To keep your Complaints, Clinical Findings and Advice lists clean and relevant, which makes searching faster and more accurate during a visit.
Marking an item as not in use does not affect any past prescriptions where that item was already used. It only prevents the item from showing up in future search and suggestions.
