OPD Improvements: #
- Medicine Category Feature
- Assign Medicine Category: MyOPD now allows you to classify a medicine into a specific category like Analgesic, Anti-Fungal etc. Category can be set by visiting Profile -> My Medicines option. Currently only one category can be set for each medicine.
- Using Category Feature:
- Category feature is added on the Prescription Entry form.
- You will see a Category button on that form.
- On clicking Category, you will see all available categories.
- On selecting a particular category, all the medicines classified under that category will show up. You can then select that particular medicine to use it.
- Using Medicine Replace Feature with Category: In case you want to replace a medicine with a different medicine in the same category –
- Click the Replace checkbox against that medicine while entering prescription.
- Now click the Category button
- Now, only those medicines which are associated with the category of this medicine will show up.
- The relevant medicine can then be selected.
- View List of Visited Patients on particular Days
- Selected Visited Today option from the View drop down box
- You will see a list of patients who have visited today.
- Now, Use the Change Date option to view patients who have visited on / after / before / between certain dates.
- You can then open the patient’s case directly to view them further.
- Allow Custom Title for Patients
- Custom Titles can now be added as per your choice.
- If a Title is not present, you can add your own title as well.
- Issue with Save PDF Feature
- Save PDF Feature failed in certain cases.
- This is now fixed as a part of 8.6 Release.
- Full Header Image Support while saving PDF file
- When Full Header image was used, saved PDF file did not show the Header Image correctly. The Header image got printed in the half section at the top of the prescription.
- With this release, the Header image is printed correctly by utilizing the full page for showing the Header image.
- Changes to Visit Paper format printed via Reception
- Improved format for Visit Paper printed via Reception Desk.
- Print Medicine List on Receipt for Receipts printed via Reception
- When Receipt is printed via Reception, medicine list does not get printed on Receipt in case of inventory being managed at the clinic.
- With this release, the medicine list is included on the Receipt.
- Export of Inventory Report will skip “Not in use” Medicines
- Inventory report should only include the relevant medicines which are in use at the clinic.
- This change is handled now. This report will now include only in use medicines and will skip the not in use medicines.
- This performance improvement significantly reduces the load time of patient list at Reception.
- As your list of patient grows, this change will reduce the memory requirement and result in faster load time of list of patients at Reception.
- Fix for Income report at Reception
- Today’s Income report at Reception was incorrect when Refund was issued. This is now fixed.
- Bug Fixes
- Bugs related to general working of MyOPD Software are fixed.
IPD Improvements #
- Easy creation of Ultrasound, X-Ray, Laparoscopic reports of patients (IMPORTANT)
- Word based templates allow creation of Ultrasound, X-Ray and other reports.
- Before this release, these templates worked only on Server PC.
- With this release, these templates can be generated and printed from any PC having MyOPD IPD Version.

- Allow Addition of Multiple Packages
- Multiple Packages can now be added to a bill.
- The same will be included in the Final Bill Print if the package name is to be printed.
- Hide Billing Package Name while printing the Final Bill
- There were request to not print the Billing Package Name on the Final Bill. This was because the billing package names were used only as a way to enter a group of related services quickly.
- This release allows hiding the names while printing. Just clear the display name of the package by visiting IPD Templates -> Billing Packages
- Choose the Package whose name should not be included on the bill. Then Clear the Display Name using the button given.
- UPI QR Code based payments for IPD Bills
- Patients can now pay straight to your Bank by using the GPay, Phone Pe and scanning the QR code for the bill.
- The QR code with payment amount is shown in the Payments and Services section
- Patients can simply scan the QR code and pay the amount.
- To generate the QR code, simply choose “UPI” option in the Payments and Services section while accepting IPD payment.
- Make sure you have the UPI QR Code set in Settings -> Printer Preferences section
- Discharge Summary on App (Upcoming)
- Changes required in IPD Software to show Discharge Summary on Doctor’s App is implemented in this release.
- IPD Label Format Updated
- Minor modifications are done to Print the IPD Label of Patient using the Label Printer.
- Discharge Summary Modifications
- Discharge Date printed in bold.
- Investigations printed neatly on one per line.
- Bug Fixes
- Fixed Software crash while opening a Bill that contains a Service which is currently not in use, but previously used.
- Fixed Software crash while printing a Bill that contains a Service which is currently not in use, but previously used.
- Fixed loading of Admission Form in certain cases.
